Which is the right class for you?

At Pilates in Uphill we have a variety of different Pilates classes to suit your needs:

 

COMMUNITY CLASSES

Community Pilates classes are held on Monday and Friday Mornings in the large hall in Uphill Village and Monday Evening in Haywood Village Hall. The classes have up to 14 people and are suitable for all ages and ability. The classes use gentle flowing exercises which coordinate with your breath, to help improve core stability and flexibility, improving balance and posture. Your instructor will give you lots of options to make the exercise suit your needs and adaptations for your specific fitness level and ability. This class gives you the opportunity to exercise at your own pace among a group of like minded friendly people. We are now offering these classes via Zoom through your computer, tablet or smart phone as well as Face to Face in the hall, so you can choose which option is suitable for you.

EXCLUSIVE CLASS

The exclusive classes are held on Tuesday morning and evening, since the Covid-19 restrictions we have been doing these via Zoom through our computers.  These classes use gentle flowing exercises which coordinate with your breath, to help improve core stability and flexibility, improving balance and posture. The class numbers are limited to just 7, this gives you an opportunity to give and receive more feedback from the instructor and allows you to hone in on your technique. A good class for people that are new to exercise, recovering from injury or surgery or a little under confident about joining a big group. The limited numbers also allows for a calm intimate feel to the session.

From November 2020 we will be able to use the Large Space in Uphill Victory Hall for the 5.15pm class. You may choose to book into any of the Tuesday exclusive classes and pop in to the Face to Face 5.15pm class on occasion.

1:1 SESSIONS

We are able to provide private sessions for 1 person in Emma’s home studio in Uphill. These sessions give you the opportunity to have a class that is specifically tailored for you and your physical needs and goals. If you have a specific area of your Pilates technique that you want to explore or you want to build your confidence before joining a large group. Sessions are held on Monday daytime and evenings, Tuesday and Wednesday daytime and Friday afternoons.

ZOOM MEMBERSHIP

Our community Zoom classes are held Monday morning & evening, Wednesday Morning and Friday Morning.  The classes use gentle flowing exercises which coordinate with your breath, to help improve core stability and flexibility, improving balance and posture. Your instructor will give you lots of options to make the exercise suit your needs and adaptations for your specific fitness level and ability. This class gives you the opportunity to exercise at your own pace among a group of like minded friendly people in the comfort of your own home.

ONLINE MEMBERSHIP

During Lockdown we were recording our community classes twice a week. We now have a catalogue of pre-recorded class which we add to weekly with our Wednesday morning Zoom class. These classes are aimed at a mixed level of participants and you will be given lots of options to make the class less or more challenging for yourself.

The online classes can be found on our Virtual Class page of this site. All Zoom and Face to Face class members are entitled to access to these pre-recorded class. Please contact us to obtain your password.
